Amber Week 2024

Amber Week is taking place this week from Mon May 13th- Fri May 17th.  Amber week is run in conjunction with Pieta House Amber Flag Initiative, which recognises the individual efforts to create healthy, inclusive environments that support the mental well-being in our school and community. The Amber Committee along with the student council have been busy preparing some activities for the week.

Thursday 16th: The children wear Funky Socks to School

Friday 17th: There main event! A carnival of fun, games and activities to include face painting, mini golf and lots more for the children. No Uniform – colourful clothes – cost of €1 per child.

There will be Amber led activities organised throughout the week for all classes.

Wellbeing week competitions - There will be a poster competition for both the junior and senior end of the school which the amber committee will announce and distribute to classes on Monday. The theme of this will be ‘Growth Mindset’. 

Wellbeing Homework -There is to be no written homework for the week only reading/tables/spellings etc. 

Each child has a sheet with the well-being homework for the week!
