Author Visit - Marita Conlon - McKenna

Marita Conlon-McKenna, the much-loved Irish author, visited St. Patrick’s NS in Wicklow Town today and captivated the boys and girls of 4th, 5th and 6th class with stories about her life as a writer. She spoke about the inspiration behind her books, including her famous novel Under the Hawthorn Tree, which many of the pupils have recently enjoyed. Her warm, engaging style and passion for storytelling made the visit both exciting and memorable, leaving everyone inspired to read, imagine, and perhaps even write stories of their own. Thanks to Ms Byrne for organising, and of course to Marita for coming and inspiring us all.
