Nature Walk in 3rd and 5th Classes
Today, Ms O’Leary’s 5th Class and the boys and girls from all of the 3rd Classes enjoyed a wonderful nature walk around Wicklow.
Our first stop was the local river walk along the banks of the Varty. Ms O’Leary and her class had prepared a list of questions and items to find, which the 3rd Class pupils worked together to complete in groups. It was a great opportunity for everyone to explore and learn about the local environment.
Afterwards, we strolled down to the beach, where we held a tower-building competition. Congratulations to the team who built the tallest tower — check out the winning creation below!
We then made our way towards the Murrough Playground. Along the way, Ms Murphy arrived surprised everyone with ice pops, which were a very welcome treat on such a sunny day. After some time playing in the playground, we headed back to school via the river walk.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed spending time outdoors in the sunshine. It was a fantastic day and a wonderful way to celebrate and bring to a close a year of hard work.
