St Pat's Dancers for Cancer Raise over €1000

We are delight to announce that the pupils, parents, staff and friends of St. Patrick's NS here in Wicklow have raised over €1000 already! This has far exceeded the expectations of the sixth class boys who came up with the idea to join in Today FM's Dare2Care fundraiser. We would like to thank everyone who donated to this worthy cause. If you would like to donate now you can follow the link below:

And finally, the bit you have been waitibg for.... our finished "music video"! Many thanks again to boys of sixth class, particularly my editing expert, Mr Farrelly. We hope you enjoy watching!

Dancers for Cancer

Mr Cuddihy's sixth class pupils have decided to take on Today FM's Dare to Care challenge by dancing to Walk the Moon's song, Shut Up and Dance. The boys chose to join in this event as a reward for all their good behaviour last term. They hope to invite other classes to join in and highlight this really enjoyable cause. If students would like to donate they may bring in any amount they choose, but they do not have to. Their participation alone has already raised €300! If parents would like to donate they may, by sending in money with their children or by following the link below:

We will post the video here tomorrow! Many thanks to everyone who has already donated, from all in 6th Class.

Hurling Mini All Ireland

The school was served a festival of hurling by the hurlers and camogie players this afternoon in our annual Mini All Ireland. Fifty six pupils donned the colours of Limerick, Clare, Galway and Waterford to take part every lunch break this week for the group games. Clare topped the group and were joined in the "A" final by Limerick, who scraped into the final on a score difference of +1. That didn't upset the Limerick team who went on to win a fantastic final this afternoon, by a solitary point. Waterford were victorious in a keenly contested and very sporting "B" final. Many thanks to Peadar de Hora for reffing (and coaching all year) and to county captain Warren Kavanagh who presented the medals.
