Fancy Dress Charity Football Match

Míle buíochas leis na ndaltaí ar fad inniu. The 6th class pupils put on a great spectacle in the field today for pupils and parents alike, in the Fancy Dress Charity Football match. All proceeds raised go to Wicklow Cancer Support, a really worthy cause close to all our hearts. The Blue Badgers looked to be ahead of the Green Goats at the full time whistle, but a controversial count by the referee deemed it to be a draw. Penalties ensued, with T Rexes, sumo wrestlers, cereal killers and even principals stepping up to take a shot. Again the teams were deadlocked when Mr Earls was given a last minute call up. Embarrassingly, he must have forgotten what code he was playing as he blew his shot a mile over the bar. Thanks to all the parents and pupils for supporting a great cause and a fun day.
