2015-2016 Academic Year
Welcome, parents, pupils, and staff members to the St. Patrick’s National School website for the 2015-2016 academic year. We hope that you have all had enjoyable summers, wherever you have been, and that you are looking forward to meeting up with your friends and colleagues next week. This is the time of year that we welcome new families into our classes, and we are always grateful for the terrific work done by our kind parent body, who look out for, and welcome these new families in our wonderfully inclusive way. Our Parents Association this year will be looking for new parents to join the great team, and always appreciate any extra help given. Please let them know if you are interested in volunteering any time at St. Patrick’s this year.
For the first two weeks, junior infant classes will not begin until 9.30am, however, any parents dropping off older children at 9 o’clock can also drop off their junior infants as their teachers will be present to receive them.
All booklists and school calendars are available from the school website, and the uniform reminder is in the Senior Infant booklist. Parents and Guardians please take note, appropriate school uniform must be worn at all times during the school year, particularly black shoes, navy crested tracksuit top, and grey PE t-shirt. Information regarding after school activities will be issued on Thursday 3rd September, and anyone who is interested in offering any after school activities please let the office know.
We truly believe that communication is the key to a successful educational experience. Together, we will continue to improve the quality of our school community and provide the best for the children of St. Patrick’s N.S. Education is a partnership between the school, students, parents/guardians, and community. All children are more successful when we work as a team to achieve educational goals.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
