Visiting Authors

One of the most exciting aspects of book week is when authors come to visit. In preparation for their visit, the pupils will have read some of their books. They get to ask the author questions and learn about the process of writing a book.Third class pupils thoroughly enjoyed Gillian Perdue's visit to their class.They had read and done artwork on her book, 'Adam's Starling'.

Author Alan Nolan visited 4th and 5th classes. He, also, gave a very interesting talk to the pupils. They had read his book, 'Fintan's fifteen'.

Gerald Siggins visited 6th classes. They had read his book, 'Rugby Spirit'. He talked to them too about his new book, 'Rugby Flyer' which will be in book shops soon.
