Science Day

Last Wednesday was 'Science Day' in St.Patrick's N.S.  The pupils were given the opportunity to engage in some fun science experiments and activities.  Ms.O' Flynn did the following experiments with 5th class pupils: Exploring sound - glasses of water of different levels to create a xylophone

Will the ice cube have more volume when it melts?

Floating ping pong ball - air pressure meeting gravity

Converting kinetic energy into electrical energy

Using a magnetic force to counter gravity
